Fair Game 209 - Stacey Wade,
Lake County Fair (FL)
Today’s episode was fun to record. Stacey and I have been friends for many years. I’ve watched her grow from the agriculture director at the Central Florida Fair to the marketing director for the Osceola County Fair all the way to becoming the fair director for the Lake County Fair. While she may come across as quiet when you first meet her, you’ll soon find she is a fierce advocate for Florida’s agricultural programs as well as a supporter of youth ag programs including 4H and FFA.
She took the helm of the Lake County Fair in Eustis, FL upon the retirement of long time fair manager, Happy Norris.
Her first fair as fair manager was crushed by the Covid-19 pandemic. Stacey shares that story today on the podcast.
